Choose right carrier is very much important in our life, because carrier play an eminent role to gives us all type of mental, physical and social satisfaction and well being, here we will try to find out how to choose right carrier?

Being in the wrong line of work does not only ruin your professional life, but it harms your personal life as well.

So how do you choose the right carrier? There are a number of things that you should take into consideration to pick a carrier that suits you best. A lot of people end up choosing the wrong carriers due to a lack of appropriate guidance and advice you should not be one of them.

So here some guideline are given bellow which will practically help you to choose your precise carrier-

1.Find out your strong zone:



Each one of us posses some special kind of strong virtue, but most of the time we do not try to find out that, just try to doing what others people are doing or try to follow someone who is earning more money from their field or profession, and our mind are very good at it of following others, but there is least guarantee either you will be success or not, since here is very much necessary to find out your own passion and interest then try to work on it.

To make it easy, create a list of skills that you have, then pick the strongest skills from that list, you may consult your friends or family for an outer prospective, if you play by your strength your will enjoy a great professional life.

2.Convince your parent:



Most of the time what happen in our life  is our parent select our carrier, because our parent are very much keen about it, they simply follow the other successful neighbor or someone who has succeed in their life to earn enough money and reputation.

Such kind of decision are forcefully thrown out to us, either we are capable or not, it’s some time does not affect our parent, they just try to fulfill their dream through us, there is nothing wrong about it, but interest thing is if we are not interested about their carrier selection then we cannot focus on it, and probability of success on that decided field will be minimum, as a result we will be going to suffer for the rest of our life.

Here is the necessity to convince our parent, what exactly we need to show our interest and strong zone in us to our parent that will help make them believe.

3.Seek advice from others:



No matter where you live, you will always have people who are already employed, expert in a particular field or have more profession experience. Gather information from them about what would be better prospect for choosing your carrier.

4.Internship work:


Internships provide you with an excellent opportunity to build the foundation of your carrier. The experience of practical working in the real world you should never ignored, working in here helps you find out the feeling of a particular job.
Internship sometime unpaid but it does not matter, because it helps you make bridge with many professional people who sometime may help you to give some good suggestion about the work you are trying.

5.Take a carrier test:



Sometime we unable to find what carrier we need to choose. If you are confused deciding which carrier is right for you. You can also go for a carrier test. Typically a carrier is aimed at assessing your skills and strength and then suggests a carrier that is a good match. Once you have finished answering the entire question, you will be provided with 2-3 carrier options that suit you best and promise a satisfying life.

Before choosing carrier option we should also focus other some concern like location, salary range, future etc.

6.Choose a preferred location:



  • Decide on your preferred work location and whether you would mind a job that requires some travel and you enjoying travel or not.
  • Your location preferred could vary from corporate head quarters to a home office.
  • Ask yourself how often you like to work away from home and if you mind travelling for your job.


7.Decide how much social interaction you need:

  • Do you enjoy working with others or do you prefer to work alone? If your are motivated by the needs of others and your ability to provide a solution then choose a job that involves lot of interaction and team work.
  • Some people shy away from interacting with co-workers and clients and preferred behind the scenes work where they do not have to deal with complicated workplace dynamics, being aware of your social needs is critical when it comes to choosing the right carrier.

8.Consider work life balance:



  • Do you value a short commute and spending evening at home relaxing?
  • Do you live for the weekend and like to make the most out of your spare time?
  • If you the type of person who looks forward to having ample spare time away from work, choose a carrier that will provide you with plenty of time away from the office.

9.Take stress into account:

Some of us thrive on the presence of big deadlines or being involved in an important project. In this role, people thrust you and expect that you will deal well with the pressure. We all have different stress thresholds. If you thrive under pressure, you may do well in a high stress carrier. But if stress makes you want to throw in the towel, look for next jobs that offer a behind-the scenes role and are more laid-back.



10.Occupation diseases:

In our professional carrier occupational diseases are the biggest concern we need to acknowledge because work culture and environment will give us no. of either chronic or acute diseases, just like as-

  • If you work at dusty area that means so many respiratory systems related diseases may arise.
  • If you work as a welder, gas cutter or harmful chemical industry then much harmful gas will affect your body.
  • If you work all day sitting in desk then you may inflicted neck pain, back pain etc
  • If your work involve more travelling and you unable to maintain healthy food and life style then many chronic diseased appear like diabetes, high blood pressure, uric acid, gout etc.


11.Desired salary expectation:



As you look ahead in your carrier, decide what your expectations are in terms of pay. If you are single now, perhaps you plan to have a family. Later may be you are part of a successful two-income family and need to decide whether you are comfortable living or less money or compromising on other carrier aspects, such as work balance, to taken a better income. If money is the reward you seek, there are many carrier options to consider.



In my practical experience I have seen many professional who just work to live their family and always wait for the last date of the month, it can be continue with your carrier then most of the time of your life you will be boring and your will never get pleasure from your work because you don’t like what you are doing. So choose right carrier always.
